The Classic Margarita

It’s always nice to return to a classic. With the Friday free show being recorded on Cinco De Mayo, there is no better drink to sip on than the classic margarita. There’s nothing worse than ordering a margarita at a restaurant and in return receiving a green syrupy sludge that they try to pass off as a drink. So I decided to develop a recipe of my own for you guys. I contend you aren’t going to want just 1 so here’s a recipe for a pitcher that makes not one but 8 margaritas. Enjoy!

1 750ml bottle of Good Silver Tequila
2 cups of fresh squeezed lime juice (about 15-20 limes)
2 12oz cans Guava Nectar
1/2 cup agave syrup

8 lime slices
Rimming salt

In a gallon pitcher once you’ve juiced all the limes (the most difficult part of the process) dump all the ingredients in and stir well. Rim each glass with the salt and fill each one up with crushed ice. Pour and serve its that easy no blenders no fuss. If you can’t find Guava Nectar (which it should be in the ethnic aisle of most grocery stores) you can substitute 3 cups of pineapple juice.
