Sparkling Blackberry Smash

This week we’re taking it fancy! In the best possible moonshiney way. This drink is almost completely alcohol and you’d never be able to tell. Just like most of my drinks if you’ve been keeping tabs… but enough chit chat on to the drink!

Sparkling Blackberry Smash
Makes 2 Drinks

4 oz Blackberry Moonshine (you can use Firefly or Midnight Moon if you don’t have a guy)
4 oz Blackberry Simple Syrup (recipe below)
8 mint leaves
1/2 lemon squeezed
D’Asti Champagne to top off with
4 blackberries
2 lemon slices
2 sprigs of mint


In a shaker full of ice add moonshine, mint, and blackberry syrup. Shake Vigorously to allow mint to be bruised. Strain over 2 rocks glasses with ice and top with champagne. Garnish and serve

Blackberry Simple Syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup Blackberries

Directions: in a small saucepan bring ingredients to a simmer until sugar is fully dissolved.  Allow to cool strain out the blackberries with a mesh strainer and bottle.

Pro tip: Add 1/4 cup of lemon juice to the cooled blackberry syrup and add to prosecco for brunch…. it’s damn delicious
